Thanks to some tenacious young, the production of craft beers in Italy, is now a solid reality. Among the major products of the food, the beer is slowly gaining a great dignity proposing alternative to wine in the high level Italian menus.
One of the first to believe that the production of high-level ancient beverage, was not exclusive of the master brewers of Belgium, Germany or England, was Teo Musso with his label Baladin.
Musso, with his micro-craft brewery located, in Piozzo, in the hills in Piedmont in the province of Cuneo.
The result of a work that lasts for twenty years, Musso has used an approach that allowed him to develop a production that includes several styles of making beer in various production: a blonde Pilsen, the white Isaac, the brown (Stout), the “bitter-mild” British-inspired Nina (all around 5%) and the Super Baladin, stronger (8%) and complex. But the brewery and ‘increasingly specialized ale fermented in the bottle: Isaac and Super (the bestseller), and they add to the sumptuous Noel (9%), refined and spicy Wayan (approx. 6%), and ‘exceptional Nora (7%) reworking of ancient Egyptian recipes. Among the special products Baladin, there are special cuvee (see Mama Kriek cherries) to beers with Dolcetto grape, chocolate to beer or beer jelly.
